Full-Time Chef

Finzean Farm Shop & Tearoom is looking for a passionate Chef/Kitchen Assistant to join their team, preparing and serving breakfast and lunch made with local ingredients. The role involves cooking, plating, maintaining a clean kitchen, and helping prepare ready meals for the shop. Candidates should have kitchen experience, work well under pressure, and be team players with a love for local produce. The position is for Tuesday to Saturday (8am–4pm). The role offers a competitive wage, a share of tips, and a supportive work environment.

Chef / Kitchen Assistant Job Description

At Finzean Farm Shop, we're all about serving up tasty breakfast and lunch using the best local produce. From classic favourites to homemade treats, we've got something for everyone. Are you someone who loves cooking up delicious meals with local ingredients? Do you thrive in a busy kitchen and care about making food that tastes amazing? If this sounds like you, come join our team at Finzean Farm Shop & Tearoom!

Tuesday to Saturday (fixed days) with opportunity for additional days and extra hours to cover annual leave. Working hours are 8am-4pm with occasional 7am starts required to assist with our inhouse bread making.

Responsibilities:

  • Help our kitchen team cook and serve breakfast and lunch dishes

  • Make sure every plate looks and tastes great

  • Keep the kitchen clean and organised

  • Help prepare ready meals to sell in the shop

  • Follow health and safety rules

Requirements:

  • Kitchen experience required

  • Must be able to work quickly in a busy environment and work well under pressure

  • Good communication skills with a team player attitude

  • Passion for using local ingredients
