Our news - July update

We are incredibly grateful to those of you who have supported us throughout the past few months and we look forward to welcoming you back to the Farm Shop as things start to reopen. We wanted to provide a brief update on goings on in light of Covid-19.

Farm Shop

Thanks to our incredible team, our Farm Shop remained open throughout the lockdown, providing essential groceries and takeaway food. Following a full risk assessment, we have introduced a number of changes to our Farm Shop operation to ensure the safety of our customers and our staff. Throughout the building, you will find sanitising stations and we clean the space regularly. The Shop will continue to operate a policy of 3 customers in at any one time and we have now introduced a one way system. For those who want coffee or food to takeaway, we have installed a counter at the back of the Shop, directly next to the car park. Place your order here and we will bring it to you. We have a growing list of takeaway items, from our usual scones and tray-bakes to bacon butties and soup.

We aim to open the café on 15th July, in line with Government guidelines. Tables both inside and outside our Farm Shop will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. We will provide updates on our social media channels.

We continue to offer a collection service for customers who would like to pick up their shopping. The delivery service to the local Aboyne and Banchory area will continue, though we will now group deliveries on Tuesdays and Fridays. You can place an order by emailing office@finzean.com or calling 01330850710. An order form can be found here.

Holiday Cottages

We are very excited to be welcoming guests back to our cottages from 3rd July. We want to reassure guests that we have put in place measures to make your stay as safe and enjoyable as possible. Here are some of the things we are doing:

  • We have briefed our cleaning team and cottages will be cleaned in accordance with the guidance issued by the Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers (ASSC). More information on this guidance can be found here.

  • We are carry out deep cleans between guest stays, paying particular attention to areas that are touched frequently, such as light switches, door handles, kitchen surfaces, and bathrooms.

Please let us know if you have any questions regarding the above. We thank you for your continued support and look forward to seeing you all soon.
